Pascual Fernández Gómez– That’s me. Born in Lleida in May 1963.
During mostly all my life, I’ve work on electronics working as a video-camera technician for international companies.
I am a passionate of photography. This passion started when I was 18-20 years old and my employer, business partner and best friend Josep Baqués (RIP) helped me buy my first camera. He was an amazing nature photographer. I still remember when he told me “don’t use automatic mode, if you do, you’ll never learn”. So, I bought the camera and started to practice.
18 years ago approx. I discovered my other passion: diving. A sport I never practice before. Once I became confident and comfy with the water I started to do underwater photography. My camera was a Nikonos V. I took a lot of pictures but now, my camera rests in the Red Sea.
Nowadays, I have more underwater photography than on-ground but I still take photography in beautiful places, hidden spots or whatever I find interesting to shoot. My cameras are Nikon D-800 and D-300. My underwater gear is Seacam.
I’ve been awarded a few times, obtained honor mentions and made some expositions. Today, some professionals and friends had encouraged me to participate in national and international contest. Let’s see if I’ll be lucky.
Here you have a small part of my collection, my passion.
Hope you like it.
